In addition to RDS, the following entites listed below may have more significance to students with disabilities. Some are positioned in the Student Affairs Division while others are associated with other divisions of the university. Regardless, the offices listed below may help you better navigate the strategies toward graduation.

Assists with equal access to technology and electronic information for students with disabilities. Services include assistive technology (adapted computing hardware and software) assessments, accommodations, training and technical assistance. Students must be referred through RDS and provide appropriate documentation of disability.

Five rooms available for students who use assistive technology to access computer instruction or information. Reservations to use these rooms and equipment must be made in person or by phone.

Academic coaching and support including free tutoring for most lower division courses, supplemental instruction, study strategies, peer mentoring and leadership development. Students must meet specific criteria for services (low-income, first generation, or learning/physical disability). Documentation of disability should be on file with RDS.

Diagnostic screening and testing for attention difficulties and learning disorders for fee-paying students. To request an initial consultation with an LAP staff member, talk with a Behavioral Health person first. A Behavioral Health person is available from 10am-3pm on Monday-Friday; he/she is located at the Hartshorn Health Service, 1st floor. No charge for meeting with the Behavioral Health person. Students will be provided a group orientation to the LAP process and then be provided with individual LAP consultation. There are extra charges for LAP diagnostic screening and testing. Study skills strategies and tips are available on the website and a through a weekly drop-in service at the Wellness Zone (Student Center).

Assists students with improving their writing process, including starting, drafting, revising, researching and proofreading skills for written assignments. Does not proofread or edit papers. On-line service and information on study skills also available. In addition to the Eddy services, also hold consultations at the Morgan Library, and at Braiden and Summit Residence Halls.

Open tutorial sessions for a variety of math and science courses with peer tutors. Tutoring for specific courses are at pre-determined times each semester.

As an integrated unit, Hartshorn Health Services (HHS) and the University Counseling Center (UCC) provide collaborative medical and mental health care. Medical services include clinical care and health education for students and their families. Mental health services consist of individual, couples, family, and group counseling. Academic resources are also available to assist students with collegiate success. Specialized programs are available at both HHS and UCC (e.g., pharmacy, laboratory, stress management, alcohol and drug treatment).

RAMWeb gives students the ability to interact electronically with the University. Students can register for courses, view term based and cumulative academic information, review and accept financial aid, review student account balances and complete many other transaction with the University.
